To / From Ski Resorts

There is an extensive shuttle bus system operated by the ski resorts to transport guests to and from the mountains.

Happo One is only 300m from the front door, and it is and easy, flat walk there and back.

Hakuba 47, Goryu and Iimori have free shuttles running from the hotel to each base area. For those taking ski lessons with Hakuba Snow Sports School, take the Iimori bus.

Buses run pass the hotel heading to Hakuba Iwatake and Tsugaike Kogen.

The Panorama Hotel is a stop on the big-day-out tour to Cortina.

Shuttle time tables are available in the lobby, and the front desk will assist in getting you on the right bus

Evenings

Many of the best wining and dining spots in Hakuba are an easy walk from the hotel, but if you wish to go further afield then there are several options for you. You will find that walking home after a large meal is a great way to finish the day and get home ready for a great sleep.

The Hakuba Tourism Commission runs the Genki Go Night Shuttle. This service is 300yen per ride and loops around all the popular wining and dining areas of Hakuba. Closest stops to the Hakuba Panorama Hotel are the Happo Visitor center, and the Mizuho 7-11, about about 5 minutes walk.

There are 4 taxi companies in town, as well as 1 dial a driver service. Most of the operators do not speak English so you will need a Japanese speaking person to call one for you (our staff are happy to oblige, as are staff at any restaurant). Taxi's stop running about 1AM, so if you are out late, please make plans to get back to the hotel well in advance. There is a taxi stand in front of Hakuba Station, and there are generally a few cabs waiting for fares there.

Please do no drink and drive. The icy conditions in Hakuba make driving hazardous even in the best of conditions. There are frequent police check points, and there is zero tolerance. The drinking level in Japan is zero, so even 1 drink will put you over the limit. If you are out and have had a few drinks then get the restaurant to call the dial a driver "daiko" service. They will come and get you and drive you and your friends home safely.
